The Experience
The tour starts with hotel pickup and a drive into Old San Juan proper. You pass Castillo San Cristóbal, the famous colonial fortress, and see the ship docks and surrounding architecture. The guide provides commentary on San Juan landmarks and local history as you move through the streets, and will point you toward the gems if you ask.
After Old San Juan, the tour moves through Condado, then to Isla Verde, where a shopping strip runs right to the beach with hotels, restaurants and artisan souvenir shops. From there you head to Piñones, a coastal area known for seafood, palm trees and a mix of local life and tourist attractions. You can walk to the beach, grab a drink, and take pictures by the water. The whole route covers five to six hours, with the guide providing information about each area as you drive and stop.
Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, along with bottled water. The guide speaks English or Spanish. Children from age eight are welcome. Younger children can sit on an adult's lap. Water shoes are available on some options. Confirm at checkout if you want them.
