Sip your chosen Port wine as Fado’s soul fills a grand noble hall in Porto’s heart

A Fado concert at the Trinity Noble Hall in Porto pairs live traditional music with your choice of four Port wines (Dry White, White, Rosé or Ruby), all explained in multiple languages. The one-hour show happens in the city centre in a classical hall with limited seating, so the acoustics keep you close to the performers and the stories they tell about Fado's history and instruments.

The Experience

The concert starts in the Salão Nobre, a monumental hall near the Allies that was unknown to the public until this show moved there two years ago. You sit in a classical, majestic space with perfect acoustics—the kind of setting that lets each note reach you without a microphone between you and the musicians. The hall holds a small number of people on purpose, so the intimacy is built in.

What unfolds is a deep dive into Portuguese Fado tradition. Live fadhists and professional musicians perform the songs while narrators share the history of Fado and its instruments in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and one additional language, so the soul of what you are hearing gets explained as it happens. This is not a performance you watch from a distance; the proximity with the artists is the whole point.

Between songs, you taste one of four Porto Wines—Dry White, White, Rosé or Ruby—your choice. A glass comes with the ticket, and this is the only Fado show in Porto that lets you pick which one. Water and juice are also available. The whole experience runs about an hour, timed to fit before dinner, so an evening in Porto can start here and move on from the city centre without the night getting away from you.

What’s included

  • A glass of your chosen Port wine (Dry White, White, Rosé or Ruby), or water or juice if you prefer.
  • the Fado concert with live musicians and multilingual narration.
  • all fees and taxes.

Can I choose which Port wine I taste, or is it the same for everyone?

You choose your Port wine from four options: Dry White, White, Rosé or Ruby. This concert is the only Fado show in Porto that gives you this freedom; one glass is included with your ticket, and water or juice are also available if you prefer.

How long is the concert, and what time does it start?

The concert runs about one hour. It is held in the city centre and timed as an evening activity before dinner, so you can plan the rest of your night around it. Check the booking page for specific start times on your date.
