The boat leaves Marina de Portimão and heads toward Marinha Beach, hugging a coastline carved into caves. You'll pass roughly 20 of them as the boat moves, but the route builds toward one: the Grotto of Benagil, a cathedral-sized cavern that sits among the ten natural wonders of the world. The captain navigates close enough that you see the scale of it—the opening, the light falling through, the way the rock rises inside.

About halfway through the 2.5-hour trip, the boat stops and you get in the water with snorkel gear provided. This is where the tour pauses the sightseeing and lets you float in it instead. After you climb back aboard, there's a champagne or soda toast—a small ritual that marks the end of the active part of the day. The boat then heads back to Marina de Portimão.
