Two dives in one morning: reefs, walls and caves without renting gear you don't own

A double-dive scuba activity in Albufeira for certified Open Water divers and above, diving natural and artificial reefs, walls, caves and archaeological sites from a professional boat. You present your diver certificate at check-in, complete a medical questionnaire (standard procedure), and the guide assigns tanks and weights; the first dive runs up to 55 minutes, the second up to 50 minutes, with a surface interval for debriefing and briefing between them. Hot showers and logbook entry happen back at the facility.

The Experience

Two dives means two different sites in a single trip, which is what lets you move from shallow reef to wall or cave without the repetition of a single-dive day. The boat departs from Albufeira marina with your guide and a small team of divers. At the first site, the guide briefs the group on what you'll see and the dive plan, then you descend together. The first dive has a maximum duration of 55 minutes or 60 bar — whichever comes first — and when the group returns to the boat, you surface, catch your breath and swap stories while the crew prepares for the second site.

The surface interval includes a full debriefing of the first dive and a briefing for the second, so you know what to expect before you go down again. The second dive follows the same structure, running up to 50 minutes or 60 bar. This is where the day often opens up: if the first site was a reef, the second might be a wall or a cave system, or an archaeological site among the rocks. The variety is built into the schedule, not left to chance.

Back at the marina, hot showers are available, and you'll sit with the guide to fill in your logbook with the details of both dives — depth, time, what you saw. If you haven't dived in more than 18 months, book a refresh course beforehand; if you're bringing your own gear, you skip the equipment assignment step and move straight to the boat. Tanks, weights and a professional guide are included. Rental gear — suit, regulator, mask, gloves, boots and fins — costs an extra 20 euros, paid at check-in.
