The experience
The tour starts at Krasiński Garden, one of Warsaw's most beautiful parks, then moves through the city's layers of history. You'll pass the once-vibrant streets of pre-war Jewish Warsaw, now silent; see the grand Warsaw City Hall on Bank Square and the Silver Tower with its notorious 23-year construction; and stop at the Palace of Culture and Science to take in the skyline from its Congress Hall. The Fotoplastikon, a one-of-a-kind 3D viewing machine, comes with a free entry ticket and transports you back to pre-war Warsaw through historical images.
The route crosses the Vistula River on one of Warsaw's iconic bridges, offering panoramic views of the city and access to the green river banks and the urban Vistula Beach. You'll see the National Stadium with its distinctive wave-like design, ride through Łazienki Park past the Palace on the Isle, and explore the Finnish Houses Settlement, a neighborhood that looks like a fairy-tale village tucked into the city center. A break at the Wedel Chocolate Factory gives you time to sample hot chocolate and pick up souvenirs.
The final stretch takes you into the Praga district on the east bank, where Brzeska Street and Old Praga reveal Warsaw's rougher, more mysterious past. The golden domes of the Orthodox Cathedral of St. Mary Magdalene stand in contrast to the neo-Gothic tower of St. Florian's Cathedral. Port Praski, a modern riverside development, and the new pedestrian and bicycle bridge with views of the Old Town and Royal Castle close out the tour.
