The experience

You're picked up from your hotel in the city (or from D Lucky Garden Inn if your hotel is outside the city proper, with an extra charge for distant locations) and driven north to Honda Bay in an air-conditioned minivan. The boat ride takes about 45 minutes from Puerto Princesa. Once you arrive, the day opens onto three different islands, each with white sand beaches and its own setup for swimming and snorkeling. You move between them by boat, spending time in the water and on the sand at each stop.

Lunch is served picnic-style in a cottage hut on one of the islands: a buffet meal included in the price. Between swims and meals, you can sunbathe and take pictures. The whole outing runs eight hours from pickup to drop-off.
