The experience
The boat leaves Coron Town Center in the morning and heads to Malcapuya Island first, where white sand beaches and clear water make for swimming and snorkeling among coral reefs and marine life. Ditaytayan Island comes next: a long sandbar in shallow turquoise water, the kind of place where you can wade far out and still see the bottom. If weather closes Ditaytayan, Bulog Dos becomes the second stop instead, offering its own sandbar and snorkeling grounds. The final stop is Banana Island, a crescent-shaped site with the same setup: white sand, clear water, fish and coral to explore.
The 8-hour day includes 4 hours of boat time getting to and from the three islands, which means roughly 4 hours on the water between sites and at anchor. A licensed guide in English narrates the route and the marine life you encounter. Lunch, bottled water, seasonal fruit and snacks come with the booking. You bring or rent snorkeling gear separately (the operator does not provide masks, fins or snorkels). An environmental fee of 200 pesos per person is paid on arrival. Life vests are provided and required.
Pickup happens within Coron Town Center. Hotels outside that zone arrange their own transport to the departure point. Infants sit on an adult's lap, and the itinerary suits all fitness levels. Public transport options exist nearby if you need an alternative to hotel pickup.

What's the snorkeling like at each of the three islands?
Malcapuya Island has vibrant coral reefs and marine life in crystal-clear water, ideal for both swimming and exploring underwater. Ditaytayan Island features a long sandbar with pristine white sand and turquoise shallows perfect for snorkeling in an undeveloped, tranquil setting. Banana Island is crescent-shaped with white sand beaches and rich marine life, offering a laid-back atmosphere and clear water for snorkeling.
How much of the 8 hours is actual time in the water versus travel?
The full day is 8 hours total, with 4 hours allocated for boat travel to and from the three islands. That leaves roughly 4 hours split among the three stops for swimming, snorkeling and time on the beach at each location.
Do I need to bring my own snorkeling gear?
Yes, snorkeling equipment is not provided by the operator. You'll need to bring or rent masks, fins and snorkels separately. An environmental fee of 200 pesos per person is also required and paid on arrival.
What happens if weather is bad on the day of the tour?
If Ditaytayan Island becomes inaccessible due to weather, Bulog Dos Island replaces it as the second stop. Both offer sandbar and snorkeling experiences, so the itinerary adapts but the three-island structure remains.
