Step-by-step itinerary
Makati street food and rooftop bar
- Try popular Filipino street foods
- Enjoy local beers with live band
- Visit Filling Station diner for desserts
- End night at Antidote rooftop bar
The experience
You start with the street foods Filipinos have eaten for generations: sisig fried rice, balut, kwek-kwek, dynamite, chicken and pig intestine, chicken blood. A live band and comedy stunts run while you eat. The guide handles the ordering, no English menu needed, and teaches you the real way to ask for food and drinks at a local spot. Local beer comes with the meal. Vegetarian options exist if you want them: eggs, green chili, mussels, prawns, or sisig tofu.
From there you move to Filling Station, a 1950s-style diner in Makati where you stop for dessert and photos. Then the night ends at Antidote, the rooftop bar perched on the I'M Hotel. The space covers the entire rooftop and runs multi-level. The upper floor is where the 360 views of the Manila skyline open up. A large jellyfish aquarium lit in luminescent colors sits inside, and the glowing I'M sign gives plenty of angles for photos. Photography is included throughout the whole experience.

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What exactly is sisig and the other street foods we'll be eating?
Sisig is a popular Filipino dish of chopped meat (beef or chicken in this case, served as fried rice) cooked with liver, heart, and spices. Balut is a fertilized duck egg boiled in the shell. Kwek-kwek is quail eggs coated in orange batter and fried. Dynamite is a hot pepper stuffed with meat and cheese, then fried. Chicken blood and intestines are traditional proteins prepared the way Filipinos cook them daily. Vegetarian versions swap meat for eggs, green chili, mussels, or prawns.
Do I need to speak Filipino or know how to order at these places?
No. The guide teaches you the real Filipino way of ordering food and drinks, so you'll know what to ask for and how to ask for it. There's no English menu, but that's part of the experience. You're eating the way locals do, not as a tourist version.
