A farm day tour in Dumingag, Zamboanga Peninsula where you walk the gardens and fishponds, meet the family who runs the organic operation, eat a farm-to-table lunch of fresh vegetables and home-cooked dishes, and taste three herbal teas the farm manufactures under the Agriko brand. The experience

The tour starts with a welcome drink and an introduction to the family history and their organic farming practice, which blends art with agriculture in Dumingag, the organic-based town of Zamboanga Peninsula. You walk through the gardens and fishponds to see how the operation works, then move to the dining area for a farm-to-table lunch. The menu draws from vegetables harvested that morning: Vietnamese spring rolls with house-made peanut sauce, baked bangus in butter and garlic, grilled pork with Vietnamese herbs and fish sauce, chicken soup with fresh vegetables, and caramelized banana dessert, plus fresh fruit depending on what is in season.

After lunch comes a tasting of the three herbal teas the farm manufactures and distributes under the Agriko brand: turmeric tea, ginger tea, and cacao with turmeric. The farm explains the health benefits of each product. Bottled water is provided throughout the day. The tour is wheelchair accessible, and infants can ride in a pram or stroller. Service animals are allowed. Public transportation options are available nearby if you do not arrange hotel pickup.
