- Travel to Planetarium Cusco
- Attend astronomy show in Spanish or English
- Return to city center
The experience
Planetarium Cusco sits outside the historical center, reachable by the included van pickup at Plaza Regocijo: a block from the main square, next to the water fountain. Your guide will be wearing blue and gray jackets and holding the company logo. They have the confirmed participant list and will escort your group to the transport. The ride takes about 15 minutes.
Once at the planetarium, the group splits by language preference (English or Spanish), so the guide can speak clearly throughout. The dome screen shows the bright stars that traveled thousands of years to reach your eyes, planets visible in the current season, the Pleiades cluster, and other celestial objects. The guide connects what you see to how the Inca read and used these same stars. The whole experience runs approximately 2 hours.
After the show ends, your guide escorts the group back to the vans for the return trip to Plaza Regocijo in the city center. If you need directions to your hotel from there, the team can point you the right way.
