This seven-hour Arctic activity combines dog sledding, snowmobiling, reindeer visit, and fire crafting at Camp Tamok near Tromsø. Small groups rotate through each station so every traveler experiences all four activities. Bus transfer from Tromsø, English-speaking guide, thermal suits, boots, mittens and helmet are included. You return to the city by 14:30, leaving time for an evening Northern Lights tour.

The experience

Four activities, one day, one location. The bus leaves Tromsø and takes 90 minutes to reach Camp Tamok, where your guide hands out thermal suits, boots, mittens, balaclava and helmet. You're split into small groups that rotate through stations: one group starts with the sled dogs while another begins on a snowmobile, then you switch. The rotation means nobody misses anything: dog sledding led by professional mushers, a guided snowmobile ride where you and a partner take turns at the controls, a reindeer visit, and fire crafting with snacks around an open fire.

The snowmobile part is shared. You ride with a partner and both of you drive. The dog sledding is a ride behind the sled, not a solo run. Fire crafting happens while the other group is on snowmobiles, so there's no standing around waiting. Coffee and tea come with the snacks. By the time you're back on the bus heading to Tromsø, it's around 14:30, which leaves the evening open for a Northern Lights tour or anything else you want to do.

The day moves between activities rather than lingering at one, so the pace stays active. Thermal gear keeps the cold manageable, and the guide speaks English throughout. Children from age 7 are welcome, though one child per adult is the rule. If you want to operate the snowmobile yourself, you need to be at least 18 with a valid driver's license, and everyone riding or driving must be at least 130cm tall to meet safety requirements.
