The Experience

Four activities, one day, one location. The bus leaves Tromsø and takes 90 minutes to reach Camp Tamok, where your guide hands out thermal suits, boots, mittens, balaclava and helmet. You're split into small groups that rotate through stations: one group starts with the sled dogs while another begins on a snowmobile, then you switch. The rotation means nobody misses anything — dog sledding led by professional mushers, a guided snowmobile ride where you and a partner take turns at the controls, a reindeer visit, and fire crafting with snacks around an open fire.

The snowmobile part is shared — you ride with a partner and both of you drive. The dog sledding is a ride behind the sled, not a solo run. Fire crafting happens while the other group is on snowmobiles, so there's no standing around waiting. Coffee and tea come with the snacks. By the time you're back on the bus heading to Tromsø, it's around 14:30, which leaves the evening open for a Northern Lights tour or anything else you want to do.
