The Experience

The game starts the moment you open the app on your phone — clues appear, a map loads, and you're already moving through Stavanger's streets looking for the first location. There's no fixed start time, no group waiting for you, no guide talking over your shoulder. You decide when to begin, where to pause for coffee, and when you've had enough. It's just you, your team (up to six people), and a series of assignments scattered across the city that pull you toward places most visitors miss.

The e-scavenger hunt takes you through Gamle Stavanger first — the old wooden quarter with 18th-century buildings still standing exactly as they were — then pushes you toward the Norwegian Petroleum Museum, Skagenkaien's boathouses, and the medieval Stavanger Cathedral. You'll find the Valberg tower with its view over the city, the canning museum that shows how sardines were processed a hundred years ago, and smaller stops like a preserved merchant's house and a photography gallery. Each location has a task: answer a question, find a detail, take a photo, solve a puzzle.
