The experience

The trip begins at Sjølyst Marina, a sheltered base where you get fitted with a kayak, paddle, lifevest and shoes suited to your size and ability. The guides walk you through safety and basic technique on the water before you head out. From there it is a short paddle to small islands and sandy beaches along the Bygdøy peninsula and the Fornebu waterfront. The guides point out the picturesque houseboats and vessels moored at the marina, the modern architecture across the water, and the beaches where the coast opens up. You can be as active as you want. The pace is yours.

Single and double kayaks are available, so you choose what fits you. Children from age 6 can join if accompanied by an adult, and guides speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and several other languages. If you can swim, you can paddle. The activity is designed so kayak experience is not required and the route adjusts to what your group can handle.
