The experience

You meet at the dock and board the boat, then head out into the Pacific to the captain's proven fishing grounds. Once the lines are in the water, you wait for the strike, and when it comes, you're called to the back of the boat to reel. The guide handles the setup and the technique. Your job is to fight the fish. Rooster Fish, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish and Marlin run these waters, and the boat targets them by trolling the routes where the captain has had the most action.

Halfway through the eight-hour day, the crew serves fresh fruit and ceviche while the boat keeps moving. Bottled water and snacks are available all day. If the fishing slows and time allows, the captain can swing by a secluded beach for a swim before heading back to port. All fishing equipment is included (rods, reels, tackle), so you bring nothing but yourself and your appetite for the fight.

Upon request, the captain will clean and filet your catch so you can take it home to cook. The guide speaks English or Spanish, and the boat is wheelchair accessible if you need that access.
