The Experience
How do you see two of the Netherlands' most famous cities without spending the day on logistics? This tour handles the route, the timing and the entry tickets, so you walk into the weighing house in Gouda, the Royal Delft factory in Delft, and the medieval churches without arranging any of it yourself. You pick which city to start in and which language your guide speaks — English, Spanish, Italian, French, Dutch or one of two others — so the day unfolds at a pace that works for you.
Gouda comes first or second depending on your choice. You'll stand in the market square facing the 15th-century Town Hall, then walk into St. John's Church, the longest church in the Netherlands, where the stained glass tells stories across six centuries. The weighing house — where farmers brought their cheese on market days for centuries — is where you taste Gouda paired with beer, wine or tea. Between the two cities, a 38-minute transfer by train or car gets you to Delft, where your guide meets you at the Beestenmarkt for lunch and a drink.
In Delft, the tour moves through the old beer-brewing quarter and past the spot where Vermeer stood to paint "View of Delft." You visit the Museum Prinsenhof, where William of Orange was assassinated, and finish at Royal Delft — the only Delft Blue manufacturer still operating since the 17th century. The factory and museum admission is included, so you see how the pottery is made and walk through the collection without a separate ticket line. The whole day runs eight hours from start to finish.

What is Royal Delft, and why is it included?

Lunch is included in Delft at the Beestenmarkt, a former animal market square in the city center. Two drinks per person are also included with the meal.
How do you get between Gouda and Delft?
