The experience

You arrive at Agadir's main beach and meet your instructor: one of the certified coaches at Morocco's top-rated surf school, operating right there without the 40-minute drive other operators send you on. The lesson covers the fundamentals: how to paddle, how to pop up on the board, how to read the water. Your instructor watches your form, adjusts your stance, and works at the pace that fits your level, whether you're stepping on a board for the first time or refining technique you already have. Families and children are welcome. The school has handled infants and small kids before and knows how to make it work.

The gear is sorted before you start: a wetsuit that fits, a quality surfboard matched to your weight and ability, and bottled water to stay hydrated between sets. The lesson runs about two hours, and when it's done, you get professional photos of yourself in the water. Something to prove you actually did it. The instructors speak English, French or Arabic, so language isn't a barrier.

What’s included

  • Surfboard and wetsuit.
  • bottled water.
  • professional photos of your session.
