The experience
You start in the center of Skoura and ride out into the palm grove on either an electric mountain bike or a classic one. Your choice depends on how much pedal power you want to use. The guide meets you at the starting point and handles the route from there. Both bikes come with helmets, and you'll carry bottled water for the ride.
The route takes you through the famous Skoura palm grove, where thousands of date palms create shaded tracks between traditional Berber villages and green gardens. You'll stop at Kasbah Amridil, a historic raw-earth fortress with watchtowers and carved doors that once stored dates and harvests. From its terraces you see the oasis spread below and the Atlas Mountains beyond. Along the way the guide explains local farming techniques and daily life in the villages. This is not a race through the landscape but a chance to observe how people actually live here.
One stop takes you to Mohammed El Fakhar's pottery workshop, where you'll try shaping clay yourself under his guidance while drinking traditional Moroccan tea and hearing stories about local craftsmanship. Later you'll pause at a panoramic viewpoint above the palm grove to photograph the oasis from above. The ride ends back at the checkout point, where you return the bike and finish with your guide.

Is this one for you?Choose the electric bike if you want to cover more ground and see more of the oasis without tiring. Pick the classic bike if you prefer a slower pace and a more active ride. Either way, the fixed route and guide pace mean you'll see the same stops and villages. The difference is how much you pedal.
