The experience
The dive boat leaves from Budva and heads to Saint Nicolas Island, where the water stays calm and visibility runs clear. You'll spend the experience underwater around the island's reefs and tunnels, with your instructor positioned to watch you the whole time. The boat itself is 11 meters long and stable enough that getting on and off feels straightforward, even if you've never been on a dive boat before.
Before you enter the water, the instructor walks you through the equipment piece by piece: how the regulator works, how to clear your mask, what to do if something feels wrong. This briefing covers safety and the basics of how your body responds underwater. Once you're in, you move at your own pace. The tunnels are safe passages through rock formations, not tight squeezes. Octopuses and shells live in the crevices around them. Between dives, you can float on the surface, swim, or sit on the boat and dry off.
The experience runs 3+ hours from start to finish. You get one-on-one time with the instructor, which means no crowded groups competing for attention. The operator has 20+ years running these dives and provides all the gear (wetsuit, tank, weights, fins), so you show up with nothing but a swimsuit and willingness to try.
