Monaco Private Shore Excursion: F1 Track & Hilltop Villages
Your own guide and minivan for the Côte d'Azur, starting the moment you step off the ship
A private shore excursion from Monaco port with a dedicated guide and air-conditioned minivan, visiting the Formula 1 racetrack, Prince's Palace and Monte-Carlo Casino Square. You choose the duration (4, 6 or 8 hours), which determines whether you add the hilltop village of Eze, the Promenade des Anglais and old town of Nice, or extend further to the medieval arts village of St.-Paul-de-Vence. The guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian or French, and the tour includes port pickup and drop-off timed to your ship's schedule.
The experience
You're met at the Monaco port by your guide, who drives you in a private air-conditioned minivan. The tour starts with Monaco itself: the Prince's Palace and the world-famous Formula 1 racetrack where you get a proper look at the circuit. Then Monte-Carlo and Casino Square. That's the core of every option, and it takes about four hours. If your ship gives you more time, the 6-hour tour adds Nice: the Promenade des Anglais and Vieux Nice with its flower market. The 8-hour option goes further still to St.-Paul-de-Vence, a medieval village built around art galleries and studios where you can eat lunch and walk around.
Because this is private, your guide adjusts the pace to your group. You're not waiting for a coach to fill up or moving on a fixed schedule. The minivan holds up to eight people, so a family or small group travels together. Port pickup and drop-off are included, and the tour company coordinates with your ship's tender service if Monaco uses one that day. You tell them your ship name, docking time and re-boarding time when you book, so the return is timed to get you back before departure. The guide provides live commentary as you drive, and the minivan is air-conditioned: useful on a Mediterranean afternoon.
One thing to know: if your group includes children under 10, you must tell the tour company at booking so they can arrange the right car seats. Monaco port police won't let the tour start without that information in advance. Also, the tour begins at the time you reserved, not when you arrive at the port, so allow for tender delays if they apply to your ship.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish, French and Italian.
Can I see the Formula 1 racetrack on all three tour lengths?
Yes, the Formula 1 circuit is part of every option: 4, 6 and 8 hours. The difference is what you add beyond Monaco and Monte-Carlo: the 4-hour tour stays in the principality and Eze; the 6-hour adds Nice; the 8-hour extends to St.-Paul-de-Vence for lunch and exploring the village.
What happens if my ship is delayed and I'm late getting to the meeting point?
The tour starts at the time you reserved, not when you arrive. If your ship is delayed, contact the tour company as soon as you know. They can sometimes adjust, but the tour won't wait. That's why it's important to allow extra time for tender service when you book.
Is the Fragonard Perfume Factory in Eze included, or is it optional?
The factory visit is optional on the 4-hour tour. Your guide can take you there if you want to stop, but it's not a required part of the itinerary.
Does the price include lunch or drinks?
Food and drinks are not included. On the 8-hour tour you have time to eat in St.-Paul-de-Vence, but you'll pay for it separately. The tour covers transport, your guide and the minivan.
How many people can fit in the minivan?
The minivan holds a maximum of eight people per booking. You need to tell the tour company your group size when you reserve so they can confirm the vehicle and the port police can clear your departure.
