Snorkeling in Cozumel from Cancun: Three reefs and beach club
Three reefs, starfish, rays and sea turtles in one day
Snorkel three separate underwater sites in Cozumel (El Cielo, Palancar Reef, and Colombia Reef) departing from Cancun with round ferry and transport included. Start in shallow turquoise waters at El Cielo hunting starfish and rays, then move to deeper reefs where sea turtles, eagle rays, tropical fish and eels patrol the coral. After snorkeling, spend time at a private beach club with lunch, then explore downtown Cozumel on your own.

The experience
El Cielo is the entry point: shallow turquoise water and a sandy bottom where starfish and rays move slowly enough to watch. The reef sits close to shore, so the snorkeling starts calm. From there the boat takes you to Palancar Reef and Colombia Reef, where the coral formations deepen and the marine life changes: sea turtles, eagle rays, eels and schools of tropical fish work the structures. Three separate locations mean three different underwater landscapes in a single day, not a repeat of the same reef.
The day runs 13 hours from pickup in Cancun. Transport collects you in a van, then consolidates with other travelers at a meeting point before the main bus heads to the ferry. The ferry crossing itself includes two beverages on board. Snorkeling equipment is provided. Bring your own swimsuit and a towel, and use biodegradable sunscreen to protect the reef. A box breakfast (sandwich, juice and fruit) comes on the boat, and lunch at a local restaurant follows the snorkeling, with your choice of dish.
After eating, the beach club gives you time to dry off and rest. Then downtown Cozumel opens for free time: walk the streets, shop for souvenirs and local crafts, photograph the waterfront, or sample local food at your own pace. The return ferry and transport back to Cancun close out the day.
