The experience

The day starts with a 50-minute drive through the Sierra jungle to a traditional pre-Hispanic tasting spot, where you sample local cacao, coffee, and mezcal while watching someone make handmade tortillas by hand. That's the warm-up. The main event is the waterfall itself: a set of cascades with crystal-clear water, lush surroundings, and a main drop you can swim and jump into. At the upper level, hidden caves add a second layer to explore. The zipline runs across the water, so you're suspended over the falls before you land and wade in.

After the water and the caves, you head to Finca la Gloria for an Oaxacan meal: black mole with chicken, beans, carnitas, and handmade tortillas. The return drive winds back through the jungle to your hotel. The whole day runs eight hours from pickup to drop-off, with a certified bilingual guide and an air-conditioned vehicle handling the logistics.
