The experience
Los Capulines is a rural community where traditions and daily life shape the landscape you move through. The ride covers protected terrain in two natural areas (Cerro de Jocoque and Cerro de Santa Rosa), where you'll cross hills, streams and a dam formation. Two guides accompany the group: one is local to the area and knows the communities and stories of the place, while the other brings technical knowledge of horses and the natural environment. This pairing means you get both the route and the context for what you're seeing.
You spend five hours in the saddle, which includes time to learn how to ride if you're new to it. The remoteness of Los Capulines has kept the natural environment intact, so the landscape doesn't change much across seasons. You can ride here any time of year and find the same preserved terrain. At the end of the activity, food is served, and all horse equipment is provided. Insurance based on NOM 011 TUR (Mexico's tourism safety standard) is included.
Two options are available at checkout: horseback ride without transport, or a cavalcade that includes transport to and from the starting point. The choice depends on whether you're arranging your own way to Los Capulines or need pickup included.
What’s included
- Use of a horse and all riding equipment.
- instruction in horsemanship during the ride.
