The experience

You arrive at the ranch for a safety briefing and meet your horse, matched to your experience level. The ride starts through Higuera Blanca, where you see how locals live day to day, then moves into dense jungle on scenic trails before opening onto the coastline. The beach stretch gives you time to stop and photograph the ocean, and the whole loop takes about 2 hours in the saddle.

Guides speak English or Spanish and lead small groups at a pace suited to mixed abilities. The horses are well-cared-for and accustomed to riders of different sizes and experience. Back at the ranch, you sit down to chips, salsa, and a traditional tequila tasting with water available throughout the day.
