The experience

Your guide meets you at the hotel or cruise terminal at 9:00 am holding a sign with your name. The drive to the lagoon takes about 50 minutes, and once you arrive you head straight to the beach for an hour of horseback riding. These are rescued horses, calm and used to carrying riders of all levels, so no prior experience is necessary. The beach is quiet and set apart from the main tourist areas, which is the whole point.

After you dismount, the guide takes you on a boat ride through the lagoon to spot the local flora and fauna. Then you move on to a crocodile farm where the guide explains the biology and behavior of these prehistoric animals. The full outing runs about six hours from pickup to drop-off, and you'll have lunch at the starting point before heading back to your hotel or ship.

What’s included

  • one hour of horseback riding on the beach.
  • one hour lagoon boat ride with your guide.
  • crocodile farm visit with education on the animals.
