The experience
Fort-de-France's historic center becomes your game board. After booking, you click a link on your virtual ticket and enter codes as you move through the city, solving logic puzzles and observation challenges at 10 specific landmarks. Each riddle you crack frees one of the kidnapped animals and unlocks a video about that location's history and the local fauna and flora. The riddles work for all ages and fitness levels. You move at your own speed with no imposed group or schedule.
The game runs about 90 minutes across 2.7 kilometers of walking through downtown. You'll discover hidden corners of the city while learning about the Antilles ecosystem. Solve at least seven riddles and you earn the Guardian of Protected Species title plus a gift. Solve fewer and you're still a Protector Agent. All videos come subtitled in English, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese, so the cultural information reaches you in your language.
Start from the port (the game's checkout point sits just five minutes away), or begin from anywhere in the city center. You need only a smartphone with internet. No application to download means no extra charges or setup delays. The game waits for you to click play whenever you're ready, whether that's during a cruise stop, a vacation day, or a local afternoon.
