The experience

You get picked up by a high-end car and a licensed guide who drives the route and narrates the stops. The day opens at Marsaxlokk, where you walk the traditional fishing village and its open market along the quays, then head north along Malta's coastal road past Valletta's medieval bastions toward Mellieha. A quick stop at Belle View gives a panoramic sight over Comino and Gozo before the tour moves inland to Mgarr, an agricultural area where you pause for a light snack and taste Kinnie, the traditional Maltese soft drink, at a local bar.

The final stretch takes you to Mdina to see its Main Gate (the same one used for the Game of Thrones television series), and then to the Dingli Cliffs, where you encounter the prehistoric cart ruts and the landscape that frames them. Bottled water comes with you throughout the day, and all fees and taxes are covered in the price.
