The experience

The dropzone sits near Limbaži, about an hour from Riga. You'll arrive, meet your instructor, and go through a short safety briefing that covers the basics of the jump. Then you put on the jumpsuit, harness and goggles, and board the Pilatus Porter aircraft for a 15-minute climb to altitude. During the ascent you see panoramic views of Latvia's forests, lakes and the Baltic Sea stretching below.

When the door opens at 4,000 meters, you and your instructor jump together. The freefall lasts about 60 seconds, the moment most people come for, before the parachute deploys. The descent under canopy takes around 5 to 7 minutes, giving you time to settle into the view and the quiet before you land. All gear is included. If you want video or photos of the jump, you can add that package on arrival.

What’s included

  • All skydiving equipment including jumpsuit, harness, goggles and parachute.
  • safety briefing and instruction from a certified instructor.
  • aircraft transport to 4,000 meters.

Is this one for you?At two to three hours total, the experience fits into a morning or afternoon without consuming your entire day, though you'll want to plan the hour travel each way to and from Limbaži into your schedule. This is a single jump with an instructor, not a course, so it suits anyone seeking one decisive moment rather than multiple jumps or training progression.
