The experience

The moment you land at Jomo Kenyatta, your phone buzzes with a message confirming your driver's name, vehicle plate, and exactly where to meet him: no scanning a crowd of signs with your name misspelled, no negotiating a price at the curb. That's the small relief this transfer handles. A driver who knows the route, speaks English, and has already been told your flight number arrives on time, ready to load your bags while you catch your breath after the flight.

The vehicle is clean, cold, and stocked with bottled water. WiFi works if you need to message someone or check into your hotel early. The driver knows Nairobi's traffic patterns and can take a quieter route if the main road is jammed, or point out landmarks if you're curious, but mostly the job is to get you to your hotel or apartment without fuss. Luggage assistance means you're not hauling everything yourself, especially if you've got a stroller, a child seat, or just too many bags. If you need a short stop along the way, you ask and it happens.

Booking is straightforward: online, email, phone, or in person at their office. You get a confirmation with pickup time and location locked in. The day before or morning of travel, they send a reconfirmation message (WhatsApp, SMS, or email, your choice), so there's no confusion about timing or meeting point. If you're traveling with an infant, specialized car seats are available. Just mention it when you book. The driver arrives at the agreed spot on time, greets you, and handles the luggage while you settle in.

It's the kind of transfer that works because it removes the small stresses that pile up after a long flight: no language barrier, no guessing whether the price quoted is fair, no waiting around wondering if your ride is coming. You know the vehicle type, the driver's approach, and the cost before you land. That certainty is what makes the difference between a transfer and just getting in a car.
