The experience
You start the morning with pickup from Iiyama Station at 8:40 AM and arrive at the Sakae snowmobile location by 10 AM. After a brief gear-up and safety introduction, you ride a snowmobile solo through the quiet snowy trails of Sakae for one hour. A gentle pace that lets you take in the winter landscape without high-speed intensity. If your group has four people, two riders may share one machine and take turns, with the total riding time extended so no one loses out on the experience.
Once you're done riding, you head straight to a traditional Japanese onsen to soak in the hot spring waters while snow surrounds you. This is where the day shifts from motion to stillness. You spend about 45 minutes in the onsen, warming up after the cold ride, then move to lunch with local specialties. The whole experience wraps up by 3:30 PM when you're dropped back at your starting point.

Is this one for you?You ride the snowmobile yourself at a beginner-friendly pace, so this suits anyone curious about winter riding without wanting high-speed thrills. If you're traveling with three others, two of you will share a machine and take turns, which means the total time stretches to give everyone equal riding time. Book this way if you're comfortable alternating rather than riding continuously.
