If you're visiting during cherry blossom season or autumn foliage, the castle park itself becomes part of the experience—the grounds are open and walkable, and there's a river cruise option from Osakajo Pier if you want to see the moat from the water. The castle closes at 6pm, with last entry at 5:30pm, so plan your timing if you want to spend more than an hour inside. Bring a valid photo ID or passport—you'll need to show it at the entrance. Outside food and drinks aren't allowed in the venue, and re-entry isn't permitted once you leave, so eat before you go in or plan to grab something in the park. E-tickets arrive by email the day before your visit; you can show them straight from your phone, no printing needed. The tower is wheelchair accessible, and strollers work fine for young children on the ground floors, though the upper levels are elevator-only.
