Blue Cave Snorkeling in Okinawa: Private with GoPro Photos
Dive into Okinawa's Blue Cave with a guide who stays close
Private snorkeling at Okinawa's Blue Cave includes all equipment, a one-on-one guide in English or Japanese, GoPro photos and videos, and a ¥500 facility fee paid on arrival. If sea conditions make the cave unsafe, your guide takes you to Zanee Beach instead, a shallower spot with coral and tropical fish.
The Experience
The Blue Cave is famous for its crystal-clear water and blue glow, but the ocean decides whether you enter it. Your guide meets you, provides all snorkeling gear—including child-friendly float rings with windows so small swimmers can see below—and heads out for roughly two hours in the water. If waves or wind close the cave that day, Zanee Beach becomes your destination: it's shallower, calmer, and still full of coral and fish, which matters most if you're nervous in the ocean or traveling with children.
A local instructor provides one-on-one support throughout, so even if you can't swim well, you're not alone in the water. All equipment is free to use; the only cost beyond the tour price is ¥500 cash per person at check-in, which covers the shower, hair dryer, and transport to and from the beach. GoPro photos and videos are shot during the snorkel and sent straight to your phone afterward—no extra charge, no hidden fees.
Arrive on time: more than 15 minutes late and the itinerary may change; 30 minutes late and you won't be able to join. Public transportation runs nearby if you're not arranging your own ride.

Are the snorkeling equipment and photos really included, or do I pay extra on the day?
All snorkeling gear, child flotation devices, and GoPro photos and videos are included at no extra cost. The only additional charge is ¥500 cash per person at check-in for facility use, shower, and beach transport.

Children from age 5 are welcome. The guide provides special float rings with windows so kids can see underwater safely, and one-on-one support keeps the experience relaxed and secure.
How long does the snorkeling activity take?
The snorkel lasts around two hours in the water, with time before and after for gear setup, changing, and shower facilities at the beach.
What language does the guide speak?
Your guide speaks English or Japanese, and you choose which when you book.
What if I can't swim well—can I still go?
Yes. The guide provides one-on-one support and gentle assistance throughout, so even non-swimmers can snorkel safely and comfortably.
