The Experience
You're picked up and driven to the catamaran dock, then board for the cruise to Dunn's River Falls. A tour guide gives you a brief history of Jamaica's culture along the way. Once you arrive, you get a wristband at the park entrance and meet a falls guide who leads the climb from the beach at the base. The waterfall is 600 feet tall and terraced, so you ascend in stages, holding hands with other climbers as you move up the natural rock steps. At the top you can swim in a scenic lagoon or simply walk around and photograph the foliage and views if you'd rather stay dry.
Back on the catamaran, the afternoon shifts. A live deejay plays music, snacks and drinks flow freely from an open bar, and you sail along Jamaica's north coast. The boat has WiFi on board. The whole experience runs three to four hours from start to finish, and private transportation to and from the dock is arranged for you.
