The experience

About an hour of the experience unfolds in the vineyards and gardens of Casina Spezzaferri, a historic home set in the Valle della Cupa. Your guide Giorgia, a sommelier and winemaker, leads you through the vines and points out the seasonal wild herbs and the viticulture methods specific to Salento. The walk is unhurried and takes in both the working landscape and the spontaneous flora that grows around it.

The second half happens at the ancient wine production site on the property, where the original equipment still stands and functions. You taste three wines, each paired with a carefully assembled aperitif of local products sourced from nearby suppliers. Bottled water is provided throughout. The whole experience is built around the food, wine and stories of Salento's rural past, told by someone who lives and works there.

What’s included

  • Guided vineyard and garden walk with a sommelier.
