The experience

The driver picks you up directly at the cruise ship and drives you into Rome's city center in a clean, air-conditioned vehicle. You have ten hours on land, which is enough to see the major sites without rushing through them. The route is flexible: you can follow the suggested itinerary or work with the driver to customize your stops based on what interests you most.

The suggested stops span ancient Rome and the Baroque city. The Colosseum and Palatino area anchor the morning. Trevi Fountain (20 meters wide, 26 meters high, and the largest fountain in the city) is where most visitors linger to throw coins and take photos. Spanish Steps, the Pantheon (completed in 126 AD and the best-preserved building from ancient Rome) Piazza Navona, and Janiculum Hill follow. St. Peter's Square, designed by Bernini in the seventeenth century and capable of holding over 300,000 people, closes the day. The driver knows Rome and can adjust the pace or swap stops if you prefer.

The return to the ship is timed to your re-boarding window, which you provide at booking along with your ship name and docking time. The driver waits for you and handles the logistics, so you don't have to coordinate transport back to the port.
