Six hectares of vineyard and barrel tastings with the family who has run it for three generations

A private winery tour in the Romagnole hills where you walk through mechanized vineyards planted since 1986, visit the cellar and bottling area with the winemaker, and taste wines directly from the barrels plus two labeled bottles with local appetizers. The tour runs about 90 minutes and includes bottled water and snacks. Wheelchair accessible throughout.

The experience

The winery sits on six hectares divided into eight different vine varieties. You walk the vineyards with the winemaker (a member of a family that has tended these hills for three generations), and see how the mechanized operation works. The vines have been here since 1986, and the winemaker explains the vineyard as you move through it, not as a backdrop.

Inside the winery building, you visit the grape reception area where fruit arrives, the aging area where wine develops, and the bottling and labeling station where finished bottles get their labels. This is where the work happens, and you see it directly. Then comes the tasting: wines straight from the barrels first, then two labeled bottles paired with local appetizers. Marradi bread made with the winery's own oil, mixed cold cuts, and seasonal products from nearby producers.

The tour is private, so the pace and the conversation stay yours. Bottled water and snacks are included. If you want to buy wine to take home, the winery has direct sales on-site, and bulk wines are available depending on what's in stock that day.
