You meet the captain under the blue and white Positano Boats gazebo at Spiaggia Grande, the main beach, about ten minutes before the 6 pm departure. The boat holds a maximum of four people, which means no crowds and no schedule built around anyone else's pace. If Praiano suits you better, departures also leave from Marina di Praia at 6:10 pm or la Gavitella beach at 6:15 pm. Just let the operator know in advance.

Once underway, you cruise the natural coastline as the light changes, with a glass of prosecco in hand and snacks available. The captain chooses one of two routes: either you pass the fishing village of Marina di Praia and stop at the Fiordo di Furore, a narrow fjord carved into the cliffs, or you head toward Li Galli, a private archipelago, sailing past Testa del Faraone and Punta Germano on the return.
