Two hours on foot through Pompeii means you cover the scale of what was buried: the buildings, the streets, the shops with goods still on shelves, the homes with their layouts and furnishings exactly as they were abandoned. The volcanic material that submerged the city (ash and lapilli, softer than the stone that hardened over Herculaneum) kept everything from collapsing or eroding. Your guide reads that preservation, pointing out the trades, the customs, the art and the rhythms of daily life that the ruins make visible.

The guide speaks English, Spanish or Italian, so you choose the language that works for you. Pickup is arranged. You bring your own entrance ticket or buy it on arrival. If two hours feels short, you can add another hour for €60 paid directly to the guide on the day.
