The experience
Can you actually learn to make real pizza at home? Yes, and this class shows you how a Catania family does it. You'll work in a local home kitchen with a Cesarina (the name for Le Cesarine's hosts), who opens her doors to teach you pizza and tiramisu from scratch. The class runs three hours, and you're not watching a demonstration. You're doing the work yourself, learning the techniques and proportions that Italian home cooks have used for years. By the end, you'll have made both dishes with your own hands.
After you finish cooking, you sit down to eat what you've prepared (pizza and tiramisu), with a selection of local wine and coffee included. The meal is your lunch or dinner, depending on which time slot you choose. This is a private class, so it's just you and your group with the host. No strangers at the next table, no rushed schedule. Families with children of all ages are welcome, and the host treats you like family, not like paying guests moving through a schedule.
Le Cesarine is Italy's oldest network of home cooks, operating in more than 120 cities across the country. The hosts are passionate about sharing how they actually cook at home, not a restaurant version or a simplified tourist version. You'll leave with real skills and the confidence to throw a pizza party when you get back.
