Tuscany wine tour: 2 wineries with Chianti & Sommelier
A Sommelier teaches you why these wines taste the way they do.
A full-day wine tour of Tuscany visiting two wineries with a live Sommelier guide in English or Italian. The itinerary covers the famous Chianti area, includes wine tastings at both estates, a light lunch at one of the wineries, hotel pickup and drop-off in the city area, and transport by air-conditioned minivan. The Sommelier leads the experience, walking you through the production methods and regional distinctions that define Tuscan wine.
Step-by-step itinerary
Explore Chianti wine region
- Visit the famous Chianti area
- Wine tasting at first winery
- Enjoy light lunch at Tuscan winery
- Wine tasting at second winery
The Experience
The day starts with hotel pickup in the city area and a drive into the Chianti region, where the Sommelier begins explaining the wines before you even arrive at the first winery. Rather than moving through a tasting room on your own, you walk the vineyard and cellar with someone trained to connect what you taste to how it was made—the soil, the grape varieties, the aging process. Two wineries means two different approaches to the same region, so you see how Chianti producers work differently from one another and what separates a SuperTuscan from a traditional Chianti.
Lunch happens at one of the wineries, a light meal paired with the wines you have tasted that morning. The minivan is air-conditioned and the group stays small enough that the Sommelier can answer questions as they come up. By the end of seven hours, you have moved through two estates, tasted multiple wines, eaten, and learned enough to recognize what makes Tuscan wine distinct—not from a lecture, but from standing in the place where it happens.
