The experience

You meet the pilots and walk together to the takeoff point, passing through the ancient Roman ruins of an abandoned pre-Roman city. A brief meteorology lesson explains the thermal currents and wind patterns that will shape your flight, so you understand what you're feeling in the air. Then comes the harness fitting and a specific takeoff briefing before you run a few steps into the wind and launch into sustained thermal currents that climb fast.

Once airborne, you have 30–40 minutes to fly. The pilot handles the fundamentals, but you can ask to take the controls at any point. If you want acrobatic maneuvers (rolls, spirals, steep turns), you call the intensity, from gentle to 4G accelerations. The flight is built around finding and riding thermals the way eagles and hawks do, so you're not just hanging in the air. You're actively climbing and moving across the landscape to chase the best conditions.

Photos and video of the flight are included, shot during the flight itself. The whole experience, from meeting the pilots to landing, takes about five hours. Children from age 10 can fly, and the takeoff is accessible even with a stroller if you're bringing younger kids along. A live guide speaks English, Spanish or Italian throughout.
