A 90-minute vineyard walk and wine tasting in Manarola led by a sommelier born in the village. You walk through the natural amphitheatre of terraced vineyards, learn how the soil and pruning shape the grapes, then move to a training room to taste three Cinque Terre white wines paired with homemade focaccia and olives, all with views back over the village. Minimum age 18. Pickup is included.

The experience

The walk starts in the vineyard itself: the famous dry stone walls that hold the terraces run through Manarola's steep slopes, and you move through them while the guide explains the soil, the pruning methods and what makes these particular vines work on this particular hillside. The natural amphitheatre of the vineyard means the village stays in view the whole time, and the route is accessible to all fitness levels.

After the walk, you move to a training room where the tasting happens. Three different Cinque Terre white wines come out, each one described in detail. The guide is a sommelier with 15 years of experience and was born in Manarola, so the wines carry the history of the place. Homemade focaccia with olives arrives alongside, and the room holds views back out toward the sea and the village you just walked through.
