Lipari private boat tour with snorkeling: Caves and quiet bays
The boat holds only four people, so you're never competing for a swimming spot.
A private boat tour around Lipari departing from Marina Corta, with snorkeling equipment and fresh fruit included. You stop for swimming at quiet bays, sea caves and coves unreachable by land, and can add a full-day extension to Salina. The tour runs 4 to 8 hours depending on which option you book, and your guide speaks English, Italian or French.

The experience
The boat leaves Marina Corta and heads straight to Praia Ferrante for the first swim stop, then works its way around the island's south side. You pass the Faraglioni rock formations, skirt the pumice quarries where the water runs especially clear, and explore caves like the Blue Cave and Torricelle. The west side brings you past Cala Fico and the old pumice-extraction village before returning. Snorkeling equipment is on board, and fresh fruit comes with the tour.
What you actually do is swim and snorkel at each stop. The boat idles while you're in the water, and there's no schedule pressure because the group stays small. If you want a full day, you can add Salina in the morning: the tour then includes the east coast of Lipari, a complete circuit of Salina with a possible stop at the fishing village of Rinella, and a swim in the bay of Pollara before returning to Lipari's west side in the afternoon. Lunch at Rinella is your own cost. A picnic on board is not included.
Your guide is a live person speaking English, Italian or French. The boat carries WiFi, and you get a half-hour bathroom break during the tour. Max group size is four travelers, or six if small children are part of the party.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, French and Italian.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between the 4-hour Lipari tour and the full-day option with Salina?
The 4-hour tour circles Lipari only, with multiple swimming stops at caves and coves. The full-day tour adds Salina in the morning (a complete circuit of that island with a stop at the fishing village of Rinella), then returns to Lipari's west side in the afternoon. Salina requires a cash supplement paid on location.
Can I snorkel the whole time, or are there long stretches of just sailing?
Snorkeling happens at designated stops where the boat anchors in quiet bays and coves. Between stops there is sailing, but the route itself is the point. You're seeing the pumice cliffs, sea caves and rock formations from the water as you move around the island.
Is lunch included on the full-day tour?
Lunch is not included. If you stop at Rinella fishing village, you can eat there at your own cost. Alternatively, you can bring a picnic to eat on board, though the boat does not provide it.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer to join?
The tour is suitable for all physical fitness levels. Snorkeling equipment is provided, and you can stay in the water as long as you feel comfortable. The boat is always nearby during swimming stops.
