Como is the starting point, and from the Sant'Agostino pier you take the wheel of a Yamaha boat equipped with GPS, life jackets, paddles and an awning. A short briefing covers safe handling on the water, then you're free to plot your own course. The lake opens onto a string of named stops: Villa D'Este in Cernobbio, Villa Versace in Moltrasio, George Clooney's Villa Oleandra in Laglio, the Orrido di Nesso waterfall, Comacina Island, and Villa Balbianello in Lenno, which doubled as a set for Star Wars and James Bond films. You decide how long to linger at each, whether to circle an island or cut across open water.
The boat holds up to six people comfortably and runs for the full four hours you've booked. Insurance, the awning for sun protection, and all safety equipment are built in. Fuel and tax run €50 in cash, paid directly on the boat when you return. The only hard deadline is the pier: arrive back within the rental window, as delays over 15 minutes trigger a €50 penalty. Public transport serves the Como waterfront if you need it before or after.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the Orrido di Nesso and why is it on the route?
The Orrido di Nesso is a waterfall and narrow gorge near the village of Nesso on the eastern shore, a natural landmark visible from the water and a named stop on the lake's scenic circuit.
Can I really drive the boat without a license?
Yes. The boat's reliable Yamaha engine and the 15-minute safety briefing included with your rental mean no license is required to operate it on Lake Como.
What happens if I'm late returning the boat to the pier?
Any delay over 15 minutes past your rental end time incurs a €50 penalty, so plan your route to leave time for the return journey to Sant'Agostino pier.
Is Villa Balbianello actually a filming location?
Villa Balbianello in Lenno served as a set for Star Wars and James Bond films, making it one of the lake's most recognizable estates from the water.
How many people can fit on the boat?
The boat accommodates a maximum of six people and is most comfortable for four or five, so small groups and families can book together in one rental.
