The experience

You start in Florence with a guide and a Vespa (automatic, no gears to shift) plus a helmet and insurance included. The route heads south out of the city into the hills, passing through Pozzolatico, which marks the edge of the Chianti Classico region. The landscape opens into the rolling vineyards and cypress-lined valleys Tuscany is built on. You'll stop at San Miniato al Monte, a Romanesque basilica sitting on one of the highest points in Florence, and at Piazzale Michelangelo, where the city spreads out below you across the Arno.

The ride itself is the point: you're not being driven past these places, you're steering through them on your own machine, following your guide's pace. The Vespa is automatic, so the focus stays on the road and the view, not on managing gears. The operator asks for a moderate level of fitness and recommends previous scooter experience.
