The experience
You arrive in Maranello and get into a Ferrari F488 Spider or Portofino. The choice depends on whether you want a passenger in the backseat (the Portofino seats four, the Spider seats two). A Ferrari expert rides alongside you as you drive the Fiorano Test Track, the same circuit where F1 professionals test annually. You get a video recording of your drive on DVD to take home, and a 10- to 12-minute session in the F1 simulator lets you test your reflexes against professional conditions.
After the track, you and your companion head to lunch at a local Modena restaurant where the test drivers eat. The meal is all-inclusive, built around the region's cuisine. Then you enter the Ferrari Museum at your own pace: no fixed schedule, no rushing through. You'll see the story of Enzo Ferrari, the factory's history, the vehicles that built the brand, and the trophy room. A bus tour of Viale Enzo Ferrari and around the factory grounds rounds out the day, showing you the working spaces where Ferraris are made.
The whole experience runs 4 hours, though the museum time is flexible. You spend as long as you want there. You'll leave with your driving diploma, the video of your lap, and a sense of what it feels like to drive one of the world's most recognizable cars on the track built for them.

Is this one for you?You drive the car yourself on the track, not ride as a passenger: the expert sits beside you to guide the experience. This suits anyone with a valid license and at least one year of driving experience who wants to feel what a Ferrari handles like at speed, rather than watch someone else drive it or tour the factory from a bus alone.

Top questions
Can I bring a passenger during the Ferrari test drive?
The Ferrari Portofino has four seats, so a passenger can sit in the backseat while a Ferrari expert occupies the front passenger seat beside you. The Ferrari F488 Spider is a two-seater coupe, so only the driver and the expert ride in it: no additional passenger is possible.
What's included in the lunch at the local restaurant?
Lunch is all-inclusive and served at a restaurant in the Modena region where Ferrari test drivers eat. The meal features local flavors and leaves you fully satisfied. No additional costs apply during the meal.
Do I get to keep anything from the day?
Yes. You receive a DVD recording of your own driving lap on the Fiorano Test Track, a final diploma marking your experience, and your video link to access the dashboard recording from your drive.
What documents do I need to bring to drive the Ferrari?
You must bring your physical driver's license and International Driving Permit on the day of the tour. Photocopies or images are not accepted. You'll need to apply for the International Driving Permit before arriving in Maranello. It cannot be obtained on the day of the experience.
How much time do I spend in the Ferrari Museum?
The museum is self-guided, so you spend as much time as you want exploring the history of Enzo Ferrari, the vehicles, the factory's story, and the trophy room. There's no fixed schedule or time limit.
What is the Fiorano Test Track?
The Fiorano Test Track is Ferrari's private circuit in Maranello where F1 professionals conduct their annual tests. You drive your Ferrari on this same track during your test-drive portion of the day.
