Step-by-step itinerary
Motorcycle tour around Lake Como and Alps
- Meet Mauro and rent Ducati bike
- Follow Mauro on scenic roads
- Stop for photos at best spots
- Have coffee and lunch breaks
- Swim at unique lake beaches (summer)
- Enjoy local hidden corners
The experience
You ride your own Ducati motorcycle, not a passenger seat. Mauro leads from ahead, choosing roads that only someone who has lived here knows, not the highways tourists find online. The five to six hour day breaks into riding, stopping to eat and photograph, and in summer, swimming in small beaches where the water is calm enough to actually enter. Fuel is covered. You bring a valid passport and a current motorcycle license.
The tour splits into two routes at checkout: one circles the lake itself, the other climbs into the Alps on the Italian and Swiss side. Both follow the same structure: Mauro sets the pace, you follow at your own rhythm, and he picks the stops. Helmets, jackets and gloves are provided. Coffee and lunch are included. You're not hunting for a restaurant or paying separately at each stop. The whole day is shaped around what you want to see, not a fixed itinerary that rushes past it.
Weather decides whether the tour runs. If it doesn't, you get an alternative date or 50 percent back. Riders need to be at least 18 and comfortable handling a motorcycle on mountain roads: Mauro will adjust the pace, but this is riding, not sightseeing from a car.

Is this one for you?Choose the lake route if you want the classic Como scenery and calm water for a swim. Pick the Alps route if you're after mountain passes and higher elevation roads. Either way, Mauro's knowledge of the safest and most scenic roads means you spend the day riding, not navigating.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Italian.
Can I ride if I've never been on a motorcycle before?
The tour is suitable for all fitness levels, but you need a current valid motorcycle license and comfort riding your own bike on winding lakeside and mountain roads. Mauro adjusts the pace to the group, but this is an active ride, not a beginner lesson.
What's the difference between the lake tour and the Alps tour?
The lake route circles Lake Como on the roads closest to the water, stopping at beaches and lakeside villages. The Alps route climbs into the mountains on the Italian and Swiss side, following higher passes and switchbacks through the foothills.
Do I need to bring my own motorcycle gear?
No. Helmets, jackets and gloves are provided as part of the tour. Bring comfortable clothes you can move in and closed-toe shoes. The gear goes over them.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The tour is subject to favorable weather conditions. If it's canceled due to poor weather, you can book an alternative date or receive a 50 percent refund.
Is lunch included, or do I pay separately?
Lunch is included in the tour price, along with coffee and snacks. Mauro stops at local spots. You don't arrange or pay for meals separately.
