Civitavecchia to Rome Private Transfer: Meet at Ship

Your driver meets you at the ship with a sign bearing your name.

A private transfer from Civitavecchia cruise port to Rome Fiumicino Airport or Rome hotels puts a professional driver at your ship with a nameplate and luggage assistance included. Choose between a sedan for up to three passengers or a minivan for up to eight, with all fees and taxes built into one price. The service runs 24 hours, seven days a week, so late or early departures work the same way.

The experience

The driver waits for you right at the cruise ship exit with a sign displaying your name, so there's no searching or negotiating at the curb. He helps load your luggage into the air-conditioned vehicle (sedan or minivan depending on your group size), and you settle in for the roughly one-hour drive to your destination. The price you pay covers the vehicle, the driver, all taxes and fees, so nothing else comes due at the end of the ride.

Whether you're heading to Fiumicino Airport to catch a flight or to a Rome hotel address, the route and timing stay the same. The driver knows the roads from Civitavecchia into Rome and handles the navigation while you rest after your cruise. Since the service operates around the clock, a 6am ship departure or a midnight arrival both work without surcharge or special arrangement.

Is this one for you?Book the sedan if it's just you and a partner or two traveling together. The minivan works better for families or groups of four or more, since both options charge per vehicle rather than per person and the larger one spreads the cost across more travelers.

Top questions

How does the driver know when I'm getting off the ship?

You provide your ship name and arrival time when you book, and the driver uses that information to meet you at the cruise terminal with your name on a sign. He'll be waiting at the designated pickup point as you exit.

Can I fit my whole family in one vehicle?

The sedan holds up to three passengers, while the minivan accommodates up to eight, so you choose the option that matches your group size when you book. Luggage space is included in both.

What if my flight is very early or my ship docks late at night?

The transfer service runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so early morning and late-night departures are available without extra fees or advance notice required beyond your booking.

Does the price include everything, or are there charges at the end?

All fees and taxes are included in the price you pay upfront, so there are no additional charges when the driver drops you off: only gratuities are left to your discretion.

What happens if my luggage is too much for the vehicle?

The driver helps load your luggage into the vehicle, and both the sedan and minivan have adequate space for typical cruise baggage. If you have unusually large or numerous bags, mention that when booking so the right vehicle size is confirmed.
