Watch the pasta get made, then eat it at the same table where it was cooked.
A private dining experience at a local cook's home in Catttolica, where you watch show cooking and eat a 4-course meal of authentic family recipes with wines and coffee included. The host speaks English or Italian, and you choose between a lunch or dinner seating. The experience lasts about two and a half hours and is run by Cesarine, Italy's network of home cooks across more than 500 cities.
The Experience
You arrive at a private home in Catttolica and meet your host: one of Cesarine's network of Italian home cooks who open their kitchens to travelers. The show cooking happens in front of you: you watch the pasta get made, see how the dishes come together, and ask questions as it happens. This is not a restaurant performance. It is someone's kitchen, and the recipes come from family cookbooks passed down through generations.
The meal is a 4-course progression: a seasonal starter, pasta, a second course with side dish, and a typical dessert. Water, a selection of regional red and white wines, and coffee are included. You eat at the same table where the cooking took place, so the warmth and the work are still visible around you. The whole experience runs about two and a half hours, and you choose whether you want to come for lunch or dinner when you book.
Your host speaks English or Italian, so there is no language barrier to the conversation. Public transportation options are available nearby if you are traveling without a car.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English and Italian.
Can children come?
4 to 8 years; under 4, free.
What exactly do I watch during the show cooking?
Your host prepares the dishes that make up your meal in front of you: the pasta, the main course, and the dessert. You see the techniques and the ingredients, and you can ask about the recipes and the family history behind them as it happens.
Are the wines included, or do I pay extra for them?
The wines are included. You get a selection of regional red and white wines from local cellars, plus water and coffee, all part of the experience.
Can I choose what I eat, or is the menu fixed?
The menu is set by your host and reflects what is seasonal and what is in the family cookbook. You do not order from options. You eat what the cook has prepared.
Do I need to book lunch or dinner in advance, or can I decide when I arrive?
You choose lunch or dinner when you book, so the host knows how many people to expect and what time to prepare. You cannot switch on the day.
What does Cesarine do, and why does it matter that they run this?
Cesarine is Italy's oldest network of home cooks, operating in more than 500 cities across the country. They vet the hosts and arrange the logistics, so you get a genuine home experience without the uncertainty of finding it on your own.
