The experience

The winery sits in Pieve Pagliaccia, between Perugia and Assisi, in a farmhouse where the Brugnoni family has lived and worked for nearly a century. You start with a guided walk through the vineyards, then move into the cellar rooms where the wine is made. The guide walks you through each phase of production, from how the grapes grow to how they end up in the bottle, and explains the family's approach to the vines and the territory.

After the tour, you taste four of the winery's wines. Each wine comes with a platter of typical local products (cured meats, cheeses and other regional foods) selected from producers the winery collaborates with. The whole visit takes three hours. A live guide leads in English or Italian, and you can arrange the experience as a private group.
