The experience

The tasting centers on four vintages of the same Merlot, poured in sequence so you can taste how the wine evolves. A professional guide walks you through the vineyards first, explaining the family's history, their philosophy, and what makes the Bolgheri terroir distinct. You'll see the vines where the grapes grow and understand the daily effort that goes into producing natural, quality wines.

From the vineyards you move into the cellar, where the guide introduces the main winemaking methods and the aging process. Depending on the day you visit, you may watch live phases of the harvest, grape selection, or bottling. The aromas and flavors of the wines in their working environment become part of the experience itself. Then you taste the four vintages, each one revealing how time and vintage variation shape the wine's character.

You can book the tasting in English or Italian. The winery is wheelchair accessible, and water is offered to all guests on request. The minimum drinking age for wine tasting is 18. The experience takes about 75 minutes total.
